Employee Assistance Programme

We realise you may be experiencing pressures that affect your daily life, whilst even everyday problems can increase the pressure we are under. Perhaps your credit card has been used without your permission, you want to find local childcare or you’ve been asked to act as a witness – often all you need is information or clarification of your rights. Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) can help, it’s a 24/7 service that provides free access to a range of specialist support and information, including telephone and face to face meeting at apetitocounselling.

The service is completely confidential - when you call you may be asked to give your name but it’s up to you and you can rest assured the scheme is operated by ICAS, the leading provider of these services. The LifeManagement™ service has been prepared to give you a quick, confidential and effective way of getting the information you need, from everything to financial services to family care and legal matters. Although the situations may be quite common, you may not have had to deal with them before and may need just a little help to resolve them.  

You may feel you need to talk to someone about an issue of a personal nature such as problems with a relationship – your initial call to the ICAS National Support Centre is answered by a fully trained and qualified telephone counsellor, to help you define the situation and clarify your thinking on the matter. You can call the Support Centre as often as you need to, whether it is about the same problem or not.

If you would prefer to talk to someone face to face ICAS operates through a UK network of experienced and professionally qualified counsellors. Very quickly you will be put in touch with someone that is local to your home or place of work. The counselling is short term and solution focussed and usually two to three sessions are sufficient – if you need longer term support your counsellor will help you to find appropriate support in your area.

If you wanted to speak to a specialist about a work problem you can ring ICAS in the strictest confidence safe in the knowledge they are an independent organisation. ICAS holds a copy of apetito’s company policies and will often be able to clarify the situation for you.

The EAP service is available to you and your immediate family as long as they live in the same household and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on 0800 072 7 072.
