apetito is pleased to announce the launch of our ground-breaking new range of texture modified meals and desserts, developed for people with swallowing difficulties.
At apetito, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Our new range of texture-modified meals comes thanks to extensive feedback from our customers, insight into industry trends, and 18 months of painstaking research and development aimed at delivering a dignified dining experience for people with dysphagia.
Everyone deserves to enjoy tasty meals. However, those unable to chew, swallow and digest foods properly have traditionally lacked access to attractive dining choices. Our new range of texture-modified meals combine delicious flavours, nutritious ingredients and natural, attractive appearance. The result is a healthy, nourishing and visually appealing range that affords a dignified dining experience.
The new range meets national guidelines for texture modification in adults, categories B, C and D (written by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and British Dietetic Association). This range includes:
• 3 Category B Soups
• 24 Category C Moulded Puree Meals
• 19 Category D Moist Soft Meals
• 9 Category C Pureed Desserts
apetito’s exciting new range of textured modified meals and desserts offers a significant number of benefits:
• Moulded purees which offer excellent presentation and natural appearance – retaining shape even after cooking, for an appealing and dignified dining experience
• Consistent texture, quality and nutrition – every time
• Extensive choice, in terms of textures and dietary needs – such as gluten free, dairy free, moderate salt, energy dense and vegetarian
• Single portions for convenience, reduced wastage and labour savings.
