apetito offer a new approach to Care Home catering providing great tasting and cost-effective care home food.
Our range of over 200 prepared meals and desserts are supplied frozen in foil trays. All of our dishes are fully prepared, and simply need to be heated and served, reducing the time, space and staff you need in house.
As well as great tasting food we also offer a full support service from menu planning to training sessions all included in the price, which we will calculate for you on a per resident, per day basis.
How to get started
Book in for a free tasting session and we will contact you to arrange a free food tasting session at your Care Home. We will also carry out a simple site audit to put together a quote and menu plan for your Care Home, taking into account your catering requirements, kitchen equipment and any special dietary needs.
Set up
We can help you get up and running within 4 weeks. We’ll work with you to develop the menu plan for your Care Home and create your first order. Our friendly drivers will then deliver your meals directly to your kitchen for storage in your freezer. Our crates are clearly marked and organised with the food for each day in its own crate so it is simple for you to store.
Mobilisation
We want to ensure your move to apetito is a smooth one, so for the first few days of service our team will be on site to help. From portion sizes to food presentation, we will provide full training for all of your staff. We’ll also provide a comprehensive welcome pack with everything from oven gloves and serving spoons to kitchen instruction boards and a reference manual.
Cook and serve
We will provide you with a daily loading sheet, telling you exactly which trays you need to take out from your freezer. All of our meals are clearly marked with cooking instructions and take either 45 or 90 minutes to cook. All you need to do is sort the meals into two groups and load your oven. When the cooking is finished, take out your food and check the temperature – then serve and enjoy. Download our Guide to Service, (PDF) for further information.
