apetito at the Care Show Bournemouth
18 Mar, 2011
Come and join apetito on stand W148 at the Care Show, Bournemouth on 29th and 30th March and sample its ground breaking soft and pureed range of meals for those with eating and swallowing difficulties.
Lee Sheppard, Divisional Manager Care Homes, apetito, will discuss ‘How to cater for those with dementia and associated conditions’ in the Dementia Care Theatre at 14.15 on 30th March. Lee commented, “We know care homes have to make tough decisions when it comes to catering. The aim of my seminar is to give care providers some ‘food for thought".
“There are a number of ongoing challenges raised by care home operators, namely: malnutrition, dealing with eating and swallowing difficulties, special dietary requirements, food preferences and hydration. Malnutrition affects around 600,000* care home residents and is becoming a big factor within our society as the elderly population increases. apetito has over 50 years of expertise in this area and can offer residents and their care home providers a more dignified dining experience. It’s important we share this insight with our industry peers and those who encounter these challenges daily. It’s a team game that can only be won by working together.”
