We are pleased to announce that our CarteChoix plated meal range has been shortlisted for The Orange Innovation Award at this year's National Business Awards to be held in London on 13 November 2012.
The Orange Innovation Award acknowledges firms which have taken extraordinary steps to develop innovation within an organisation, such as driving forward research and development in products, services or company processes. Before the winner of the award is announced in November, apetito will give a live presentation to an expert panel of judges including Sarah Farrugia of Advocateur; Andrew Humphries of Tech City Investment organisation; James Stickland of JP Morgan Chase and Martin Stiven of Orange, part of Everything Everywhere.
Ian Stone, apetito's Sales, Marketing and Business Development Director said: “I’m proud that our innovations deliver a positive impact to people at vulnerable times of their lives. At apetito, innovation is ingrained in the way we operate. Our new plated meal system marketed under the CarteChoix brand is the outcome of putting resources, time and hard work into producing significant developments in food manufacturing. It is our aim to create products which provide nutritious, safe and appetising food, on time, to the elderly and infirm and it is a great honour to be recognised by a prestigious award for our achievements.”
Martin Stiven, Vice President of Business at Orange, part of Everything Everywhere, said: “The entries this year have really raised the bar. apetito has shown a great ability in introducing an impactful innovation which has clearly improved its performance. Firms like these play a crucial role in pushing the economy forward with their great ideas. Orange believes innovation is crucial for growth and the best examples should be celebrated to inspire businesses across the country.”
Shortlisting judge, Gideon Hyde, founder and Director of Market Gravity, said: “apetito’s innovative plated meal system clearly meets the needs of the healthcare professional and the end customer, as well as delivering strong business benefits.”
