The sun shone over a busy Trowbridge Park on Saturday, as a variety of activities, entertainment and stalls were enjoyed by all at the Alzheimer’s Support Family Fun Day.
The event is one of the charity’s biggest fundraising activities of the year, raising a grand total of £3,893. All proceeds raised provide support to people across Wiltshire living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
40 members of Team apetito joined Alzheimer’s Support to help run several stalls including the Tombola, Play Your Cards Right and the Wine or Water Stall; as well as the BBQ and Refreshment tent.
Lisa Hayes, apetito HR Manager and Charity Committee Chair, said, “We’re delighted with the amount raised for Alzheimer’s Support and the part we played in the day. We’re very proud to support our local charity and the work it does in Wiltshire.
“We’d like to thank the team at Alzheimer’s Support for all its efforts and all the Trowbridge Community for getting involved in the day.”
The local community supported the event; with local dance troupes and musicians giving up their time to provide free entertainment throughout the day. Other activities included inflatables, gladiator jousting and football shootout. The Star Wars Comic Con figures and a replica of the DeLorean car from ‘Back to the Future’ also attended for photo opportunities.
