We only use sustainable palm oil in our recipes and are members of the Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil. 100% of the fish we use is sustainable, as specified by the Marine Conservation Society, and 97% of the wild fish in our meals is certified as sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council.
Our meals don’t just taste great, they look good and are packed with specialist nutrition, helping everyone to eat for health whatever their circumstances. Our talented head chef works alongside our in-house dietitian, nutritionist and food scientist to constantly improve recipes and ensure the best flavour, aroma and appearance of our meals.
We want everyone to enjoy mealtimes. Our chefs and nutritionists have created delicious, healthy meals to suit all tastes and preferences, including our renowned Free From range for people with allergies, Mini-Meals Extra (smaller meals packed with energy), home-from-home classics such as cottage pie, and our Ethnic range that includes kosher and halal options. There really is something for everyone.
Our strict food safety standards and procedures mean that apetito is one of the safest meal options available for the health and social care market. We run two CLAS-accredited laboratories on our site, and no batch of food is released until it’s tested and approved by our technicians. We are consistently awarded a grade ‘A’ BRC Food Safety Standard (and we expect the same from our suppliers), and our labelling means we can trace ingredients up and down the supply chain.
