Unpicking the opportunities and challenges of Independent School Catering
Leading school meals provider, apetito has launched a brand-new webinar which dives deep into the key findings of the ‘Shaping the Future of Independent School Catering Report’ it released earlier this year in collaboration with the Independent School Association (ISA).
The FREE webinar focuses on the top priorities and challenges independent schools are currently facing when it comes to serving high-quality, nutritious meals within budget. Hosted by Peter Woodroffe, Deputy Chief Executive at ISA, who is joined by Rupert Weber, General Manager of apetito’s Education division, ISA’s CEO Rudolf Eliott Lockhart and Managing Partner at ISCC, James Stacey.
The episode covers and explores a wide range of topics including the impact of rising costs and labour shortages, the importance of nutrition and effectively catering for food allergies and how schools can ensure they are providing a high-quality meal offering whilst making the books balance at the same time.
Speaking about the webinar, Rudolf Eliott Lockhart, CEO at ISA, said:
“The report apetito launched earlier this year provided a really valuable snapshot into the nature of catering in independent schools right now. This webinar was a great opportunity for us to dive into a deeper discussion about the findings of the report, the particular challenges schools are facing and methods and strategies that schools can employ to make sure they continue to do the very best in catering for pupils and staff.”
The topics covered in the webinar each play a crucial role in shaping the overall effectiveness and success of school catering, explains Rupert Weber:
“This webinar provides fascinating insights into the landscape of independent school catering. It dives into the strengths and areas for improvement, offering a comprehensive overview of the current state of catering in independent schools.
“It was a privilege to have this important discussion with Peter, Rudi and James, who bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience about how schools can provide the best possible meals for their pupils. This discussion is a must watch as it offers valuable advice, practical insights and guidance that schools can use to enhance the quality of their meal provision.”
