Leading care home meal provider apetito has refreshed its extensive range of meals for autumn, offering a variety of new comforting classics and lighter dishes. Ideal for early-evening suppers, the range features satisfying, familiar favourites alongside flavourful options for smaller appetites.

Joining its core range, the new Aubergine Parmigiana offers a fresh take on Italian comfort. Combining layers of tender aubergine, rich tomato and basil sauce, and golden melted cheese, this crowd-pleasing dish pairs best with garlic bread, pasta, or potatoes. This is joined by a creamy Lemon, Pea and Asparagus Risotto, which pairs the natural sweetness of peas and asparagus with creamy risotto and vibrant lemon, delivering a bright citrus lift in every spoonful. A wholewheat Pesto Pasta and Salmon Rigatoni also join the menu, providing further Italian flavour to the line-up.

In addition, the new Cowboy Beans & Sausages – a hearty mix of beans and sausages in a smoky tomato sauce – joins Chinese Style Beef, Chicken Stir-Fry and Lemon & Herb Chicken as additions to the range. Carefully crafted by apetito chefs and dietitians, these dishes deliver lighter, lower-salt options to cater for individual needs without compromising on flavour.

Further into autumn, a comforting Cheese & Tomato Pizza also joins the range. Featuring a rustic base topped with a rich tomato sauce, garlic and oregano, and finished with melted cheese, this familiar favourite brings authentic Italian flavour to the range.

The launch also includes a range of build-your-own dishes. It includes a variety of side options, including Wholewheat Rigatoni, Garlic Bread, Penne Pasta and Ditalini Pasta, alongside several hearty sauces, including Beef Bolognaise, Tomato & Basil and Cheesy Green Veggie Sauce, designed to offer even more choice for care home menus.

The meal provider also introduces four delicious desserts to its autumn menu. Its new Banana Bread is made with banana purée and 50% fruit for natural sweetness, while its Puff Top Apple Pie features flaky pastry filled with apple and juicy sultanas. The new creamy Banana & Cinnamon Rice Pudding offers a warming combination of comforting flavours while the Toffee Apple Pudding – a soft sponge filled with apple on a base of rich toffee sauce – offers an indulgent option.
