Local business, apetito has been bringing festive cheer to Wiltshire-based charity, Alzheimer’s Support through donating food for members to enjoy a two-course Christmas lunch in all its award-winning day clubs across the county.

Staff members from apetito, including in-house chefs, Phil Rimmer and Jethro Lawrence, have also been volunteering their time to visit the day clubs throughout the week and help with cooking and serving the meals to around 200 Alzheimer’s Support members who are living with dementia.

On the menu was a traditional Turkey dinner with all the trimmings, or a Chickpea and Apricot Tagine for those on a vegetarian diet, finished off with a choice of delicious desserts.

Alzheimer’s Support has a long-standing and valued charity partnership with apetito starting back in 2016, and the charity carries out important work in helping both people living with dementia, as well as carers across Wiltshire.

Sarah Marriott, CEO of Alzheimer’s Support shows her gratitude for apetito for this donation, saying:

“We really appreciate the generosity of apetito in supplying food for our members’ Christmas lunches, and it has been delightful having their staff members support with cooking and serving at our day clubs – they’ve really gotten into the festive spirit!

“This great support over the week has allowed us to provide a special lunch to celebrate the festive season, as well as helping our volunteers to spend even more valuable time with those in our care.”

The initiative follows the recent Christmas Jumper Day hosted by apetito where its staff from across the country got involved by donning their best festive jumpers and raised over £750 for the charity.
