Trowbridge-based, leading meal provider, apetito, has recently donated over £13,000 to local charity partner, Alzheimer’s Support.

Alzheimer’s Support is a long-standing and valued charity partner of the business, which supports both people affected with dementia and family carers across Wiltshire.

Despite challenges of the pandemic putting a pause on many opportunities, apetito staff members have continued to raise significant funds to support the charity through a variety of challenges and internal fundraising.

These included a group of colleagues taking on a tandem skydive at 10,000ft., an annual business fundraising competition between its graduate cohorts and donations gathered during its monthly Sunday Lunch Club for nearby residents.

This donation will help to further support the charity’s award-winning day clubs which provide respite to individuals living with dementia and aims to promote independence for those living at home.

“This money will make a real difference to the support that we provide throughout Wiltshire and go a long way to helping people live well with dementia.”

To present the donation, apetito colleagues involved in the various fundraising events visited the charity’s day centre on Mill Street in Trowbridge, to see first-hand how the money would support the work being done in the local area.
