Wiltshire business apetito celebrates best practice with a successful run of audits and awards

Wiltshire-based apetito, a leading supplier of meals to the health and social care sector, is celebrating after achieving its fourth President’s Award and 14th consecutive Gold Award this year at the internationally renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.

The prestigious RoSPA awards are the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards that recognise world-leaders in health and safety practice, attracting nearly 2,000 entries from across the world.

Mark Lovett, Head of Health and Safety at apetito in Trowbridge, said:

“This is a huge achievement for the business.  Achieving our 4th Presidents Award and the Gold Award for the 14th time in a row, from the toughest health and safety award body, is a real reflection of our safety culture and standards.

It’s testament to our ongoing commitment to ensure best practice in health and safety, and an achievement that we’re very proud of.”

Continuing its excellent safety streak, apetito has also recently passed its Brand Reputation through Compliance of Global Standards (BRCGS) Food Safety Standard Audit, achieving an AA rating, the highest grade possible for an announced audit. BRCGS’s standards are set the benchmark for good manufacturing process and food safety standards.

Richard Worrall, Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain at apetito said

“We are absolutely delighted to have achieved an AA grade in our recent BRCGS audit as it is no mean feat to secure this.  I want to thank everyone in our team who has contributed to this immense achievement as I know just how many hours of hard work went into securing it.

“This is testament to our standards of professionalism and culture and the team’s tireless commitment to the highest food safety standards.”
